We stayed for 7 nights and had a wonderful time. Most everything in Rome is walkable if you are fairly fit and do take decent walking shoes. Trastevere is a great hangout with a never ending supply of great restaurants and such reasonable prices. The hotel was great. We loved the sense of history and a slight simplicity as an inherited charm from the monastic past. The garden facing room was lovely and the staff were fantastic. We strongly recommend the tasting menu in the main restaurant - yummy and great value. The staff at reception also have very good recommendations of where to eat local to the hotel and we were not disappointed. Two tiny points of feedback would be that for 7 nights stay, the very good breakfast became a little too repetitive and that for 7 nights and two people with warm and cool weather clothing options, the wardrobe space was again a bit limited. However, not enough to dent a 5 star rating. A great hotel in a great location with great staff. Thank you…

A most inhospitable hotel, and I won’t dwell on the unnecessary dinginess of the furnishings or the room’s broken toilet- flushing mechanism and non-working a/c that greeted me, or even the short hair hidden in my first cappuccino. No, by far the biggest disappointment of my stay here was the openly hostile attitude of the staff. From the two front desk fellows who wouldn’t or “couldn’t“ do anything to correct a booking error which lengthened my 5 day stay by an additional 6th day they insisted I pay for, to the waiter who giggled at the hair-accino and asked what I wanted him to do about it. (Just don’t charge me please). The low point however, was the not-so-hidden sneering and eye rolling from the ladies at the front desk, even at the minor request for my room key, or when we crossed paths in the lobby. I can only compare it to accidentally sitting at the mean-girls table in your middle-school lunchroom. This is a strange, unsettling experience to have in Italy, usually so warm and welcoming. And it’s especially unexpected in a hotel that markets itself as a luxury brand and charges upwards of €400 a night. The previous week I’d stayed at Palazzo Ripetta, also in Rome, and had an amazing time. The team there was effortlessly kind and thoughtful. It’s clear the management at Donna Camilla Savelli places little value on the customer experience. Take your precious holiday time and money elsewhere.

This is one of the most magnificent hotels we’ve stayed at. Not a huge room but perfect for two people. We happened to have a courtyard view. So quiet…pleasant to sleep! If you like to walk to amazing restaurants and shops this is the hotel. You are not near major attractions but just a short taxi ride away. The food was excellent. A beautiful breakfast included with our stay. I have a wheat allergy…they more than accommodated my needs. Their fine dining restaurant was excellent And a fabulous attentive staff for both breakfast and dinner So remarkably clean and kept by maid service every day. Definitely don' pass this up if you are looking to stay in Rome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved our stay here. Firstly the room request was honoured for a delux room with bathtub. Very pleased. When we arrived they gave an overview which was really interesting. . The hotel is STUNNING! Nothing like it. Breakfast- loads of choice. Cocktails- exceptional. Caiprina and Negroni recommended. Staff- mostly great. The room itself was bigger than expected with a second space for a desk and a chair then a alcove with window. Views amazing- we were actually happy it faced outwards and not courtyard. Roof terrace views- wow! Also the hotel smells amazing. The chapel is simply beautiful. Only niggles- one night no hot water. We were also semi accused of walking off and not signing for drinks. We did the same every night and that night sat out for 45 min and no one came, assume charged to room. Next day she said we walked off. Kind of spoiled things. Why would we keep coming back if so. It’s within easy reach of centre while being in a quiet area of Trastavere.

This hotel is a must! It's an entire amazing experience, from the moment you cross the front door. It's an old (very old, but totally renewed) monastery in Trastevere, where the night is long basically due to the concentration of many restaurants that are open until late in the night. It's THE PLACE to be if you come to Rome. The hotel also has a very good breakfast, and a chapel inside with service every day early in the morning. From the terrace you can overview most of Rome downtown.
